Journal # 12- Right and Wrong

I don't really like to see things in black and white because things aren't always that way. I see things in more of a gray type of way. Although, there are somethings that usually aren't right to do and there are other things that are usually considered to be good.

Being nice is something that could be considered something that is "right." It is a good thing to be good to other people. If you are nice to other people, the it is more likely that other people will be good to you (although there are always exceptions to the rules; some people are just rude, mean people).
Another thing that can be considered right is putting others before yourselves, but again, you cannot always do this; sometimes you do need to put yourself before others. At first this could sound selfish, but honestly you cannot always put others before yourself. As a general idea, though, putting others before yourself is very kind and something that should be appreciated if someone else does it for you. Usually it is easier to care just about yourself than about others, but eventually it will pay off in the long run (and make you feel better about yourself) to put others before you.

Things that could be considered wrong are things like rape and murder for obvious reasons. One of the exceptions of murder is if you are just trying to defend yourself from someone else who is trying to kill you or someone else for no reason.

I don't really like talking about things like this because again, not everything is in black and white and I don't want to accidentally use a wrong word and other people get the wrong idea and get all upset about it. Also, other people have different opinions on things so you can't really say something is right or wrong because those are ideas. I could just be thinking about this too much, like I usually do.
