The last time I went on a long trip was in August with my friend, Mackenzie. I, her sister, Maddie, her sister's friend, Ali, and her parents went to Florida. We went in an RV. So, it was quite the trip, but I actually wasn't bored at all. I had a bunch of things to entertain me like Mackenzie, obviously, my ipod, my phone, my camera, and I read my book for honors english! So I actually enjoyed the ride there. I really like car rides, so that actually helped a bunch. Also, I love to travel. It is fun to experience new places and people, especially if I'm with my friend(s).
What did stink about it, though, is being cooped up in the same place without getting up for 12 hours and not getting very much sleep, but neither of those made that big of an effect on me or my mood.
When we were on the trip, we had to bike everyday to get into the little town next to where we were staying. It was about a mile and a half away. It was so much fun biking everywhere, even though it was extremely hot and humid, and there was a bike trail to follow, so pretty much everyone biked there and we didn't have to worry as much about cars running us over.
My favorite part of the town was the music loft above the bookstore. We went there a lot! There were a ton of cool people there and I was in heaven with all the different kind of records and music they had there. They also had shirts that had book covers on them. I got a shirt for The Catcher in the Rye and so did Mackenzie.
It was a really fun trip and I don't think I'll ever forget it. We might even go back again during the summer of 2012, so there is always hope for another awesome vacation like it!
