There once was a penguin that lived in the northern tundra. He always seemed to get what he wanted and never wanted to have it any other way. This penguin's name is Tux. He was greedy and was unloving to what he got. The other penguins of the tundra were very annoyed with him.
One day, the other penguins all formed a group to talk about Tux and his attitude. They all agreed to do something to teach him some manners. Then he will be more appreciative to what he has and will be understanding if he can't always get what he wants. The first part of the plan was to make him take a manners class with Mrs. Peck. Then, they are going to show Tux that some penguins aren't as fortunate as others.
Mrs. Peck reviewed to Tux the manners. "Please and thank-you! Those are extremely important!" She said.
Tux thought this whole thing was stupid, but he just went along with it anyway since it was better than being in math class. Mrs. Peck told him that he needed to use these two manners every time he wants and receives something. Tux rolled his eyes. He did not want to do this, but he had to since all of the other penguins would notice if he didn't.
Then, a group of people showed Tux a video on how other penguins have a harsh dangerous life. The video showed penguins starving because all the fish where they lived had died out. It also showed penguins with oil all over their bodies from a crashed shipped that was carrying oil out and about. Then it showed penguins being eaten by other big, scary animals.
Quickly, Tux realized what a jerk he was being. That he needed to use manners and be a better person. "I'm sorry everyone. Please forgive me?" He said. The other penguins agreed. Now Tux is one of the most loving and caring penguins of the tundra and he never goes an hour without being polite and using his manners.
