The Grapes of Wrath- Required #3

This long book is obviously going to have a few themes in it. So here we go on another adventure in my lovely blog full of insight! (or maybe not, I don't know).

So one of the themes I've noticed quite a bit is the theme of family. The Joad family is trying to stick together through these extremely rough and harsh times. I think that family is quite important! I am not too close to most of my family outside of my parents and brother, but it is an important thing! Your family is always around, so you should make a good relationship while you can before either you or one of them are dead. This should be a big priority for people to at least try to make a good relationship with their family. I think I am going to try to get more close to the family members I don't really talk to because I feel like it is a nice, considerate thing to do. And maybe I could make friends with them! (even though nobody in my family is my age.) WOW, I just got really side-tracked there, sorry about that. Anyways, family is also an easy way to team together and help each other out.

Another theme that I have noticed is religion and faith. I remember that Casy used to be a preacher, though not anymore. He decided to stop because he was more of trying to please people. He thinks the Holy Spirit is the human spirit as opposed to God or Jesus. He also doesn't really believe that there is sin and virtues. He thinks people do things and some things maybe better than others, but not everything is bad and good. (I wrote a whole blog on this somewhere, I forgot what the blog name was, however.) It was really cool seeing thoughts like that from him.

So those are the two themes I decided to discuss in this blog; family and religion!
